Fix It Madison

Some things are worth fixing.

The Madison area is full of people who'd rather fix it than toss it, and plenty of neighbors who still know how. We help them find each other, for the small things that deserve a second life.

For fixers

If you repair things, whether for pay or just for the love of it, join the list. You choose what's shared and how you're contacted. No cost to join during launch.

For people with broken stuff

We're building a list of trusted local fixers. Until it's ready, your neighborhood repair café is a great place to start.

The small stuff

The repairs that fall through the cracks, too small for a shop and too good to throw away:

  • Fishing reels
  • Cast iron pans
  • Canoe paddles
  • Quilts
  • Lamps
  • Eyeglasses
  • Bikes
  • Clocks
  • Sewing machines
  • Radios
  • Ice skates
  • Heirlooms

Proud to support Madison-area repair cafés

Fix It Madison doesn't replace repair cafés. We want to send them more volunteers and visitors, and give the "couldn't finish it today" items somewhere to go.
